Overview
This 1969 Oldsmobile 442 is finished in red with a black vinyl interior. Power comes from a replacement 455 cubic inch V8 and is sent to the rear wheels through a TH400 transmission. The owner notes that the car runs and drives, but should be inspected by a mechanic prior to street driving.

Exterior
The exterior of the 442 is finished in red and retains the original chrome trim. Imperfections in the paint are noted in several areas. Detailed photographs of those areas are available in the gallery below. The 1969 year model was the first to feature the split front grill along with other minor appearance changes.

Interior
1969 was the first year to have front headrests. The car retains it’s original bench seat which is finished in black vinyl. The dash retains stock gauges with the odometer showing 32,000 miles. Although the odometer is functional, it has likely rolled over, therefore true mileage is unknown. The dashboard retains it’s original artificial burlwood accents. Additional interior pictures can be seen in the gallery below.

Drivetrain
This 442 is powered by a replacement 455 cubic inch V8 that has been rebuilt within the last year. Power is sent to the rear wheel through a new TH400 transmission. The dual exhaust was recently replaced including headers and Flow Master mufflers. The owner notes that the car runs and drives, but should be inspected by a mechanic prior to street driving.

Note: I can handle & restore anything on car except body & paint work. Thanks Ray
The paint damage or paint chipping/cracking questions:
1. how many & where located, please?
2. hood front peak area (442) – is hood too deep OR bumper not installed properly?
3. column shifter – tight and firm OR wobbly and loose and weak or flimsy?
4. can u send me photo of dash and gauges, please? Looks like radio & heater are out?
Thanks,
Ray
It will need paint and bodywork. No heat or AC. I will send pics as soon as I get home.
@Wooddavis2,
Thanks

So car was originally a 350cid. DMV shows northern PA & NY many years. 1. How is rust in undercarriage? 2. Not drivable as is on Interstate highways, right?
Ray
I believe the car came originally with a 400 cubic inch. I’m not sure of what play it came from. It does run and drive. I have driven it on the highway but not outside of the Atlanta metro area.
No rust underneath.
Thanks for responses.
Ray
